Man who posed with Pelosi’s lectern in Capitol assault sentenced

The man was arrested a few days later and released on bail, accused of entering or remaining in a restricted access building without legal authority, theft of government property and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

Last November, Johnson reached an agreement with prosecutors and pleaded guilty of a charge of the first crime attributed to him, for which he was sentenced this Friday in a Washington court.

As part of the punishment, this Florida resident and father of five children will also have to complete 200 hours of community service and pay a fine, according to US media.

According to authorities, although he later regretted his actions, Johnson initially published messages online celebrating the fame he had achieved with his photo in the Capitol.
