The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, travels this Wednesday to Washington in what will be his first trip abroad since the outbreak of the war last February. As Zelenski has confirmed through a tweet, upon his arrival in the US capital he will meet with Joe Biden to later intervene in a joint session of the two Houses of the United States Congress.
This visit, in addition to offering an iconic image for the end of the year, coincides with a key moment in US aid policies for Ukraine. Currently in Congress is studying increase military spending by 45 billion for next week.

The White House spokeswoman, for her part, Karine Jean-Pierre, has also publicly ratified the visit.
