YouTube creators will be able to offer paid courses

MADRID, Sep. 9 (Portaltic/EP) –

Google has announced the news that will allow progress in the educational tools on YouTube, with a new distraction-free player and the ability to offer paid courses.

Of these innovations, one is a new playerwhich the company calls ‘YouTube Player for Education’, designed for educational content, which does not show ads, external links or recommendations.

This player is designed to embed it in other educational appssuch as EDpuzzle or Purdue University, where it will show content for free and without distractions, as the company details on its blog.

Next year, in addition, educational content creators will be able to offer their videos with tutorials or explanations as structured courses under a payment model or for free. This tool will be implemented first in the United States and South Korea, in a beta phase, before extending it to more countries.

For students, ‘Quizzes’ have been introduced, a tool that allows users to check what they have learned through questionnaires, with questions related to the content shared in the course.

These quizzes will be rolling out in beta “in the coming months,” and will be rolling out to all creators with the Community tab next year.
