The Second Vice President of the Government and Minister of Labour, Yolanda Diaz, will present in an act next Friday the coordinators of the different sectoral teams of Sumar, those in charge of drawing up the conclusions of the listening process. They have not yet revealed the place where this event will take place.
As Díaz advanced this Monday, “This Friday we will present the most important of the Sumar projectthe people who are going to coordinate all the sectoral preparation teams of the Sumar project”.
In the launching act of this platform, the vice president undertook to elaborate a new “social contract” that would respond to current times and serve as a tool to face the challenges of the 21st century. The objective would be for the listening process that the minister launched a few months ago to serve to draw up a political program of proposals rooted in civil society.
In this sense, Sumar has already set up teams that will address and coordinate the listening process suggestions based on central themes, such as the economy, feminism, health or the fight against the climate emergency.
“There they are going to see how great professionals are going to have in their hands the task of creating, the teams have already created them, to work around that new country, that new design we want. It is one of the most important things in Sumar. They have a task that is, beyond December, to make that global vision of the country that we want,” Díaz explained.
The vice president has asked her government partner, the PSOE, to urgently unblock the Housing Law in the Congress of Deputies, although she has not linked this issue to the budget negotiation that takes place within the coalition Executive .
“If there is a fundamental problem in addition to the shopping basket and wages is housing. It is impossible to pay the rent in cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Vigo, Coruña… wherever you want. This topic is essential. I urge that this rule be unlocked immediately, “he has requested.
