Xiaomi has launched a tablet with an electronic ink screen that allows you to take notes thanks to a smart pen; a device recently presented in China that receives the name of Xiaomi Note E-Link.
This ‘gadget’, which combines the technology of conventional tablets and that offered by electronic books, presents a 10.3-inch screen and it only weighs 440 grams, with a thickness of 5.35 mm. The left side bezel, on the other hand, is thicker, allowing for an easy grip.
It works with a 1.8 GHz quad-core Cortex A55 processor and has a 3,000 mAh battery, with a fast charging support of up to 18 W. In addition, it presents a single configuration, of 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.
It works with the Android 11 operating system and 2.4/5 GHz WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2 and a USB-C connector for charging at the bottom. Also, It has a port to connect headphones.
Regarding the support for the smart pencil, Xiaomi has not given details through its website, since it has only indicated that it allows fine and realistic writing and that it supports up to 4,096 intensities or pressure records during use.
This pencil is also made with a magnetic materialso it automatically sticks like a magnet to the Xiaomi Note E-Ink tablet to prevent it from being lost.
This device, which includes applications for electronic ink equipment, supports different file formats, such as PDF, ePub, .ppt, .txt. Excel and .doc.
It is currently only for sale in China and Xiaomi has not announced if or when it will reach other countries. Its price is 2,699 yuan (about 390 euros at the current exchange rate).
