Verdes-Equo joins Rita Maestre’s list for Mayor of Madrid

More Madrid seals its agreement with Verdes-Equo ahead of the elections on May 28. The councilor of Más Madrid Jose Luis Nieto and Catalina Abell join the list led by the candidate for Mayor, Rita Master.

José Luis Nieto will occupy position number 8 on the list and Catalina Abell, 21. There will also be other members of Greens-Equo which will complete the list. As detailed from the Madrid formation, these “incorporations represent a reinforcement of Más Madrid’s commitment to the green policies and to intensify the relationship with the European Green Party”.

Currently, the mayor José Luis Nieto is spokesman for the Urban Development and Works and Equipment Commission; deputy spokesperson for the Environment and Mobility Commission; and a member of the Committee on Finance and Personnel and the Committee on Economy, Innovation and Employment, as well as the Committee on Procurement Surveillance.

For her part, Catalina Abell is an expert in political communication, from Madrid, from Villa de Vallecas. Abell, she has been linked to Verdes-Equo since 2014, where she has been carrying out different responsibilities within the organization, including the communication of the 2015 municipal and 2019 general electoral campaigns.

Currently, Abell is responsible for Institutional Relations at the federal level and works in the Más País-Verdes-Equo team in the Congress of Deputies, together with the deputy Ines Sabanes. He is a specialist in political communication and has previously worked in different municipal teams in Madrid, both in government and in opposition.
