Twitter will withdraw the old verification system in the coming months, as confirmed by the current owner of the social network, Elon Musk, because he understands that it is flawed, in favor of the new system included in the Blue subscription.
Twitter accounts currently displaying the blue color verification badge They have been able to obtain it either because they have a subscription to Twitter Blue, or because they requested it with the old process and it was approved.
However, Musk believes that this old system “is deeply corrupted“and for this reason the company has decided that it will disappear in a few monthsas reported in his official profile of this social network.

Musk has also announced that the content creators they will be able to monetize their accounts with the ads that appear in their reply threads. The social network will give them a part of the revenue earned from such adsbut for this to happen they must have a verified Twitter Blue subscription.
