Twelve dead in a Russian attack on the city of Vinitsia, in central Ukraine

The balance of deaths due to an attack by Russian forces against the Ukrainian city of Vínitsia, located in the center of the country, has risen to twelve, as confirmed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“At 12:15 p.m. (local time), there are twelve dead and 25 injured,” the agency said in a brief message on its Telegram account. Thus, he added that “90 rescuers are working” in the area.

Minutes earlier, the deputy head of the Ukrainian president’s office, Kirilo Tymoshenko, had indicated that at least one child had been killed in the attack. “It is another crime of the occupants in our peaceful city,” he said, before recalling that the town is far from the front lines.


According to information collected by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, the projectiles have hit an office building, which has been completely destroyed, while several residential buildings located in the surroundings have suffered material damage.
