At 10.35 (11.35 in mainland Spain) it is expected that members of the royal guard will move the coffin aboard a gun cart to the westminster Abbey, at the start of a brief funeral procession.
King Carlos III will advance on foot behind the coffin and other members of the royal family, just as the transfer of the coffin from the Buckingham Palace to Westminster and, previously, in Edinburgh.
At 10:52 a.m. The procession is scheduled to enter Westminster Abbey, where all the guests will already be. The funeral will conclude with two minutes of silence that will be extended to the entire country. After the acts in Westminster Abbey there will be a new procession with the coffin and members of the royal family on foot until the Wellington’s Archwhere the hearse will be waiting.
after the 3:00 p.m.the convoy will arrive at windsor castle and shortly before 16.00the coffin with the remains of Isabel II will be raised again to introduce it in the chapel of saint george. The dean of Windsor will officiate a church service. The burial will take place at 7:30 p.m. and the Government has specified that it will be a private ceremony.
As planned, the remains of Isabel II will rest next to those of her husband, prince philipwho died in April 2021 and was initially buried in a temporary grave pending the death of the queen.
