Xiaomi has presented its first humanoid robot CyberOne, a device that is 1.77 meters tall and weighs 52 kilos, which includes a word recognition engine and is capable of identifying different types of voices, human emotions and environmental sounds.

The company has unveiled this creation during the launch event of its new folding phone, Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, a device in which it has materialized its collaboration agreement with the manufacturer of Leica optics.

In addition to expanding its smartphone market, Xiaomi has expanded its product catalog in other directions with the presentation of a new member of the Cyber ​​family, his first humanoid robot, CyberOne.

As the company’s CEO, Lei Jun, has advanced in this product presentation, the development of this robot is “a symbol of Xiaomi’s dedication to incubate a centralized technological ecosystem and connect it with the world in ways never seen before. “.

The manufacturer has acknowledged that, during the investigation process, it combined cutting-edge technologies from different sectorswhich include biomechatronics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), ‘big data’ and bionic cognition.

This robot, which is 1.77 cm tall and weighs 52 kilos, is equipped with advanced arms and legs. It is able to withstand 1.5 kilos of weight in one handsupports up to 21 degrees of freedom of movement and achieves a real-time response speed of 0.5 ms.

Because it integrates a bipedal control algorithm, The robot can keep its balance when moving and moving thanks to a 300 Nm power mechanical joint module, a high-efficiency motor that weighs only 500 grams.

On the other hand, Xiaomi has recalled that humanoid robots depend on vision to process their environment, so it uses a MiSense depth moduleself-developed, combined with an AI interaction algorithm.

Thanks to this combination, the robot, which has a design in black and white tones, is able to perceive 3D space, as well as recognize individuals, gestures and expressions.

In addition, CyberOne is equipped with a self-developed environmental semantic recognition engine and a MiAI vocal human emotion identification engine.

Thanks to these technologies, the humanoid robot can recognize 85 types of environmental sounds and identify up to 45 classifications of human emotions. In fact, it is capable of detecting happiness and even comforting a person in moments of sadness.

All of these functionalities are integrated into the CyberOne processing units, which are combined with a curved OLED module to display interactive information in real time.

It should be remembered that CyberOne is the product of a family of products aimed at technological innovation, in which CyberDog is also found., the first quadruped of the brand, presented in August of last year.

Like the humanoid robot, this robot is equipped with different high-precision sensors that guide its movements in real time and uses imaging technology that makes it possible for the robot to perceive the environment.
