The US assures that it has not changed immigration rules for Venezuelans

The United States Embassy for Venezuela clarified that migrants must continue scheduling appointments in the CBP One application to apply for asylum to that country through official mechanisms.


The United States (US) embassy for Venezuela reported through an account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) that there is no change in immigration laws or border control in the US.

The clarification comes after a rumor spread that the possible government shutdown in the United States would allow migrants to enter the country.

In this sense, he indicated that migrants must continue scheduling appointments in the CBP One application to apply for asylum to that country through official mechanisms.

He expressed that US immigration officials and CBP officers and agents will continue to enforce immigration laws.
