The IAEA will deploy security missions at all nuclear power plants in Ukraine

The director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, announced on Monday his decision to deploy security and protection missions in all nuclear power plants in Ukraine.

After holding a meeting in Paris with the Ukrainian Prime Minister, Denis Shmigal, Grossi has announced that he has reached an agreement with the Ukrainian head of government in order to deploy IAEA missions in each nuclear power plant in the country.

“Excellent meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal (…) We agreed to deploy IAEA security and protection missions in all nuclear power plants in Ukraine,” he detailed in a message on the social network Twitter.

In this sense, he stressed that the work to establish the protection zone of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant continues.
