What can local populations do against the giants of the oil industry in the Amazon? Doris Buu-Sao, author of a work entitled “Capitalism in the village: oil, State and environmental struggles in the Amazon” (Ed. CNRS) is our guest to talk about it. His work takes us to northern Peru, where more and more indigenous people are demanding the right to work in oil operations, as “reparation” for the deleterious effects of this industry on the local environment.
