The Spanish basketball team has qualified for the 2022 Eurobasket round of 16 as first in Group A, after achieving a hard-fought 69-72 victory against Turkey on the fifth and last day of the first phase, played at the Tbilisi Arena of Tbilisi (Georgia).
In a match without captain Rudy Fernández, Sergio Scariolo’s men, with Willy Hernangómez, with 15 points, as the most outstanding player, achieved their tightest and most illustrious victory in the Eurobasket and will face the fourth-placed team next Saturday in Berlin from Group B.
