Sergio Ramos: “The World Cup was one of those big dreams, unfortunately I’ll have to watch it from home”

MADRID, Nov. 14 (.) –

The PSG footballer Sergio Ramos confessed this Monday that being part of the call for the Spanish team for the World Cup in Qatar “was one of those great dreams”, but “unfortunately” he will have to “watch it from home”, in a season in which that he is “enjoying football” again after a “hard” past course.

“Last season was tough, due to injuries and adapting to a new club and a different city. I worked body and soul to recover and feel like myself again, guided by the goals and hopes that one always sets for oneself and proposes”, recognized the defender in a publication on his social networks, along with a photograph with the two European Championships and the World Cup won with Spain.

Ramos, who is not among the 26 chosen by the national coach, Luis Enrique Martínez, celebrated returning “to enjoy football”, from PSG and “from a great city like Paris”. However, he admitted that not going to Qatar is “tough”. “The World Cup? Of course, it was one of those big dreams that I had to fulfill. It would have been the fifth, but unfortunately I’ll have to see it from my house,” he lamented.

“Every day the sun rises again. Absolutely nothing will change in me. Neither my mentality, nor my passion, nor my perseverance, nor the effort and dedication of 24 hours thinking about football,” he added.

Finally, the player with the most caps for Spain (181) thanked the “affection” received in recent days. “There are still many challenges and goals to meet. See you soon. I wish you the best. Come on, Spain!” He concluded.
