The Russian state gas company Gazprom has announced the cessation of supplies to Poland and Bulgaria due to the refusal of the respective countries to pay in rubles.

At the end of March, the Russian government signed a decree establishing that payment for the Russian gas pipeline supplied from April should be made exclusively in rubles, the Russian Interfax agency recalls.
However, from PNGiG they have warned that they consider the Russian decision as a “violation” of the terms of the contract, for which they have announced that they will present claims through which “the supply of natural gas under the contract will be restored”, according to the Russian agency TASS.
“In turn, the company reserves the right to file claims in relation to the aforementioned interruption of the natural gas supply and will use all its contractual rights, as well as the rights derived from the legal provisions, for this purpose,” PNGiG added. it’s a statement.
