Real Madrid has been proclaimed champion of Europe for the fourteenth time in its history after defeating Liverpool this Saturday (0-1) thanks to a goal from Vinicius Junior in the second half of a final, played at the Stade de France in Paris, where the whites executed their indisputable status as ‘Kings’ of the ‘Old Continent’.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team relied on the defensive seriousness that has defined him this season and on the stops of Thibaut Courtois, an essential piece to maintain the 0-0 until match time, when Vinicius Junior -assisted by Fede Valverde- got the winning goal finishing at the far post.

In this way, Real Madrid adds a new title to its excellent European curriculum, the fifth ‘Champions’ in the last nine years and the fourteenth in its history (1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1966, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022).
