MADRID, 22 Aug. (Portaltic/EP) –
nvidia today announced an update to DLSS neural rendering technology that incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) ray reconstruction, which improves image quality in ray tracing-intensive games.
DLSS 3.5, which has been trained on five times more data than DLSS 3, promises sharper images, more accurate lighting, and higher frame rates in games with ray tracing.
To do this, enter lightning reconstruction, which “replaces manually tuned denoisers with an Nvidia supercomputer-trained AI network that generates higher-quality pixels between sampled beams,” the company explains on its official blog.
The technology firm has presented within the framework of Gamescom, which is being held this week in Cologne (Germany), the DLSS 3.5 technologywhich will be on all RTX GPUs and whose support will arrive in games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Alan Wake 2 in the fall.
