MSI Gaming has announced the Project 491Cits “super ultra-wide” curved gaming monitor that includes a panel QD-OLED with a refresh rate of 240Hzand which will be presented in January during the CES 2023.
The Taiwanese multinational has anticipated its new proposal in ‘gaming’ monitors, equipment that uses Quant dots and OLED technologies, and offers a refresh rate of 204Hz.
With Project 491C seeks guarantee the enjoyment of “a much better viewing experience than anything else that has been had before”, since it is, according to MSI, the “first super ultra-wide curved ‘gaming’ monitor in the world”.
However, the company has not advanced more features, although it does show that it opts for the CES Innovation Awardan event that will be held from January 5 to 8 in Las Vegas (United States).

By design, it is a team that will compete directly with Samsung’s Odyssey G9, a 49-inch monitor designed for video games, with a 1000R curved screen and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility.
Following this line, the company LG Electronics has announced that next Monday December 12 will pre-order UltraGear gaming monitors with OLED technology and a 240Hz refresh rate: the 27-inch flat screen 27GR95QE-B and the 45-inch curved screen 45GR95QE-B. Shipments are expected on December 28.
The 45 inch 240hz curved oled gaming monitor, LG Ultra Gear 45GR95QE-B. presents a format of 21: 9, with a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440, which practically reaches five million pixels on the screen that, according to the company, improves the game with “the fastest speed and the best image quality, in an immersive curved screen”.
In this sense, the monitor increases the camber with 800R instead of 1000R, which makes it deeper and more immersive. In addition, it offers a response time of 0.03ms, thanks to which it is possible to show a fluid gameplay movement and “amazing” graphics, as expressed by the electronic company.
above all LG highlights the quality of colors and blacks featuring its organic backlit pixel technology. In fact, the image quality has a DCI-P3 color gamut and a contrast ratio of 1.5 M: 1.
For its part, the 27-inch flat screen OLED gaming monitor also offers a response time of 0.3ms, has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and presents a 16: 9 aspect ratio.
Regarding the price, as specified by LG, the UltraGear (45GR95QE-B) can be purchased for $1,700 and the 27-inch OLED monitor (model 27GR95QE-B) will be available for $1,000.
