The two new Motorola devices, edge 30 ultra and edge 30 fusion – EUROPE PRESS

Motorola has presented this Thursday the latest members of its catalog of ‘smartphones’, belonging to the edge series, which is made up of three terminals, among which Motorola edge 30 ultra stands out, which has a 200MP lens, double touch system or ‘double tap’ and Strongbox security solution.
The technology company has presented these devices at a face-to-face event held in Milan, the city chosen to announce its new collaboration with Pantone. Thanks to it, it has implemented the most outstanding colors of recent years in its mobiles, which come in various shades in the case of the standard model of the range, Edge 30 neo.
The most advanced phone in this range is the Motorola edge 30 ultra, which is made with a curved screen of 6.67 inches, FHD + (2400 X 1080) and offers a refresh rate of 144Hz.
The panel, with pOLED technology and HDR10+ certification, is capable of reproducing more than a billion colors and offers the opportunity to configure different light colors to distinguish notifications. In this way, it allows the user to know what alert it is even when the mobile is on the table and upside down, since the lighting is perceived in the curvature of the glass.
The mobile, which comes in two colors, black and white, stands out for its photographic section thanks to a 200 megapixel (MP) main lens, embedded in a rectangular frame along with two other cameras: one 50MP Ultra wide angle and a 12MP for portraits (with x2 for telephoto). The selfie camera, on the other hand, is 60MP.
The new Motorola edge 30 ultra is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform and comes with two configurations of LPDDR5 RAM (8 and 12GB) and various internal storage options (128, 256 and 512 GB).
As for its battery, it has a capacity of 4610mAh and has a 125W TurboPower fast charging system, with which the battery can be fully charged in just 7 minutes. It also has a reverse charging system (50W).
The phone also has Dual Stereo speakers, support for Dolby Atmos and WiFi, WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Likewise, at the ‘software’ level, it presents the Motorola Strongbox security system, which is also available in the edge Fusion model.
On the other hand, both this mobile and the rest of the edge series presented this Thursday, have the ‘double tap’ system, through which the desired application can be opened directly after configuration without having to manually unlock the device.
MOTOROLA EDGE 30 FUSION
Next, Motorola has released the edge 30 fusion model, a light mobile, weighing 175 grams, which has a somewhat smaller screen, 6.55 inches, and a 53º panel curvature.
With an FHD + resolution (2400 X 1080) and a pOLED technology with a 144Hz refresh rate, the screen offers a ratio of 20: 9 and a touch area of 91.89 percent.
The phone features a Snapdragon 888+ 5G processor and a 4400mAh battery with a 68W TurboPower charging system. In addition, it has two modes of RAM memory (8 and 12GB), as well as three internal storage (128, 256 and 512GB).
As for the image section, this version has a 50MP main camera and a 13MP macro camera on the back, as well as a depth sensor. On the front, instead, it has a 32MP lens.
The mobile, manufactured in the colors gray, gold, white and blue, also has Dual Stereo speakers that work with Dolby Atmos and are arranged both on the top and bottom of the device.
In addition, it works with My UX, which allows you to customize unlock gestures and the fingerprint sensor integrated into the panel. Like the previous mobile, it has support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, among other details in the connectivity section.
Finally, Motorola edge 30 neo is presented as a good option if you want to have a small and compact terminal, with a size of 152.9 x 71.2 x 7.75 and a weight of 165 grams.
This device also materializes the recent alliance of the technological manufacturer with Pantone, since it is presented in different colors highlighted by this language: veri peri or purple, grey, white and green.
Its screen is 6.28-inch pOLED, FHD + (2400 x 1080) with 120Hz refresh rate and a screen-to-body ratio of 95.6 percent, as well as a ratio of 20: 9.
This mobile mounts a Snapdragon 695 5G processor and only has an 8GB RAM memory configuration, as well as two internal storage (128 or 256GB). The camera, for its part, stands out for presenting a 64MP main lens and a 13MP macro lens on the back. On the screen, instead, the selfie camera is 32MP.
Like the other devices in this series, it uses Dual Stereo speakers, offers Dolby Atmos support and has two microphones. In addition, it works with Android 12 and has My UX, as well as the integrated fingerprint security system on the screen and facial unlocking.
PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
The three terminals are already available for sale in Europe. However, they will not arrive in Spain in all the colors mentioned. For example, Motorola edge 30 Ultra will do so only in black, while Motorola edge 30 neo will dispense with the green color in the brand’s official distributors. However, all colors will be available for purchase through the brand’s website.
Their prices start at 369.99 euros for the edge 30 neo model in its basic configuration, while the Motorola edge 30 fusion reaches 599.99 euros and the edge ultra at 899.99 euros.
