Microsoft has started the distribution of the Windows 11 23H2 updatewhich introduces new features in Teams and application management, and begins the rollout of Copilot for Windows in some markets.
Since Tuesday, October 31, the Windows 11 2023 (23H2) update is available, a cumulative version which brings together the features and improvements recently announced by Microsoft, as the company explains on its official blog.
This update focuses its main new features on the video conferencing and productivity application Teams, whose chat, free for Windows users, is set by default to the taskbar.
Teams has also incorporated a new function that allows send text messages (SMS) from a Windows computer without having to use the previously linked Android smartphone.
And in the game bar it has been added ‘Play together’ of Teams, a ‘widget’ that allows you to share the game with friends and communicate with them in real time, as detailed by Microsoft from the Tech Community forum.
For communities, Teams has incorporated the channelsto organize conversations on the same topic, and allows you to personalize notifications and enter a pseudonym to interact in communities without having to show your Microsoft account name.
They have also been introduced changes in administration of the applications. In this sense, in the ‘All applications’ section of the start menu, which are system components will be indicated with a new label.
With 23H2 it will also be deployed Copilot for Windows in North America and parts of Asia and South America. Microsoft has confirmed its intention to extend it to more regions and countries.
