BRUSSELS, Dec. 8 (.) –
The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, on Thursday considered the possibility that a lottery for a prostitute was carried out among soldiers from the Bruc barracks in Barcelona to be “outrageous” and is confident that the facts will be investigated.
“I don’t know the subject in question, but if that were the case, it seems outrageous to me and I suppose that an investigation would have to be opened,” Marlaska said to questions from journalists in Brussels, where he is attending a meeting of Interior Ministers of the EU.
As reported by the newspaper ‘Ara’ on Wednesday, two soldiers from the Army proposed in a WhatsApp group to the rest of the members to participate in a raffle to spend time with a prostitute on the day of the Immaculate Conception with the aim of raising money for the company parties.
In this regard, Marlaska has indicated that if the facts were confirmed it would be an “absolutely rejectable” circumstance and “unrelated” to what the behavior of any person should be, “especially if it is an official.”
The Army will inform the Prosecutor of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) “immediately” of the lottery of a prostitute among soldiers from the Bruc barracks in Barcelona, military sources explained to Europa Press on Wednesday.
