President Nicolás Maduro accused Henrique Capriles of lying about the country’s food supply and called on him to get his act together and stop being lazy, “you’re lazy.” He indicated that his government has managed to raise national production.

In this sense, he indicated that the time of “cadivi is over” and that the country enjoys a 97% supply. “Capriles is saying that we prohibit imports, that is false. Complementary imports are what the country needs”, he indicated.

Maduro called on the people to be “fly with the candidacies”, referring to the opposition political leaders, who will be measured in primary elections. “I call on the private sector to unite so that the economy continues to grow prosperously,” he said.

He accused the position of using a “war narrative”. “After they called for abstention, now they are candidates,” she said, questioning what they are looking for. Maduro expressed that Capriles points to the economic war against his objectives in the electoral campaign.

“That extreme right that is being summoned, what they want is war and destruction in the country and the economy,” he said.
