Luuk de Jong tests positive for coronavirus

FC Barcelona striker Luuk de Jong has tested positive for coronavirus and will not be available for the LaLiga Santander match that the Barça team plays this Sunday against his former team, Sevilla FC, at the Camp Nou (9:00 p.m.).

“The first team player Luuk De Jong has tested positive for COVID-19. The player is in good health,” the Catalan club reported in a statement about the Dutchman, who has played 22 games this season and has scored 6 goals.

Xavi Hernández’s side receive the Nervion team this Sunday in a direct duel for second place; Julen Lopetegui’s team is second with 57 points, three more than the azulgranas (54), who if they win will take the position from them -after the 1-1 in the first round at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán-.
