Luis Diaz He was reunited with his father, Luis Manuel, who was recently released after suffering a kidnapping on October 28, 2023 in Barrancas, Colombia. Although his mother Cilenis Marulanda was released a couple of hours later, Mané spent 12 days in the hands of the guerrilla, until finally, on November 8, his release was announced.

While this was happening in Colombia, on the European continent the world of football showed solidarity with the player with multiple demonstrations of support both from the Liverpoolas well as other equipment from the Premier League. In the middle, Diaz scored a goal with Liverpool and showed a t-shirt that asked for his father’s release.
