This is Franklin Demera, 22 years old, who sells ice cream at the Eloy Alfaro University of Manta where he studies to pay for his nursing studies. The boy is already in his sixth semester.
The boy travels every day from the Crucita parish to Manta where he studies. He lives with his father, Ronald, who does not have a steady job. In an interview with the local newspaper he said that in less than two hours he had already sold 70 ice creams that he had brought them.
This young man is an example for the world!

Because of his father, Franklin wants to achieve his dream of becoming a professional and that is why two weeks ago he thought of buying a cooler and selling the ice cream among his colleagues. The first day he sold 20, then 50 and now 70.
His story went viral on the university’s social networks, where they put him as an example to follow.
Franklin chose to study Nursing to save people’s lives, but his true goal is to be a police officer to protect people. For him, both careers are like being a hero, he said. This semester his favorite subject is Adult Clinic, because he likes taking care of the elderly.
After finishing her nursing degree, she will pursue her other dream of being a police officer, but she thinks about opening a store that sells homemade ice cream.
