The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dimitro Kuleba, stated on Wednesday that preparations for the transfer to Ukrainian territory of the Patriot defense systems have already begun and indicated that kyiv hopes that the process will be finalized as soon as possible.
“Last year we ended a revolutionary decision to achieve the supply of Patriot systems to Ukraine, something that was agreed by the leaders of Ukraine and the United States, Volodymyr Zelensky and Joe Biden. We appreciate this great step taken by the United States and we look forward to that they be transferred at all”, he pointed out during a press conference, according to the Ukrinform news agency.
The head of Ukrainian diplomacy has indicated that both the president and the entire diplomatic team of the country “are working to find solutions in relation to the supply of all types of weapons from Western countries. This has referred, especially, to tanks and other armed vehicles.
In this sense, he has emphasized that there is no doubt that the Ukrainian Army will have more weapons. As part of the new aid package for Ukraine, the United States will deliver these systems, which will significantly strengthen the country’s air defense.
