BARCELONA, July 20 (.) –
Junts will open an informative file to the deputy in the Parlament Francesc de Dalmases, after he has requested it himself, after the discussion he had with the deputy director of the ‘Faqs’ for an interview with the president of the Parlament, Laura Borràs, and will move away also as spokesperson for the parliamentary commission of the Catalan Corporació de Mitjans Audiovisuals (CCMA).
In a party statement, they explain that at the next meeting of the Junts management, the approval of the information file requested by the deputy will be put to a vote, and the parliamentary group’s management will propose a new acting spokesperson for the commission.
According to Junts, Dalmases has requested the opening of the file “to clarify, be able to refute and defend himself” from the accusations received in the media and social networks.
And it is that he considers that the accusations are “clearly harmful” to his reputation, after ‘Nació Digital’ and ‘eldiario.es’ published that Dalmases grabbed the journalist by the wrist and rebuked her in a room before Borràs and other members of the team as a result of the interview.
Despite the “confidence” that the group has in him as spokesman for the parliamentary commission of the Catalan Corporació de Mitjans Audiovisuals (CCMA), Dalmases has also proposed that he be temporarily suspended from said responsibility until the file is resolved, ” given that what is being analyzed is of the same subject as the commission”.
On Tuesday, the president of the CCMA, Rosa Romà, commissioned a report from TV3 to find out what happened in the discussion, and ERC and the comuns have asked the Parlament Board to apply the chamber’s code of conduct.
