Professionals from the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona have finished this Monday around 9:30 p.m. the intervention to the former president of the Generalitat of Catalonia Jordi Pujol who is stable after being admitted due to a stroke, sources close to the hospital have explained to Europa Press former leader
Pujol was initially admitted to the Barcelona Hospital and then transferred to the Sant Pau Hospital where they carried out tests to determine the degree of involvement and finally underwent endovascular treatment to eliminate the arterial obstruction.
He was admitted to the hospital this Monday afternoon due to an alteration in acute speech that they detected when he was in his office and in the center it has been confirmed that the stroke was caused by an obstruction of a cerebral artery that has caused a reduction in Blood flow.
Close sources have estimated that the former president, who will remain admitted to the Stroke Unit of the hospital center, “could have” some sequel although they have not specified the degree of affectation.
The last public appearance of Pujol, who is 92 years old, was on Thursday in the presentation of a documentary about the former president of the Generalitat Josep Tarradellas and on Saturday he gave an interview on Catalunya Ràdio.
