Internet Archive works on a library dedicated to amateur radio and early digital communications

MADRID, Oct. 6 (Portaltic/EP) –

Internet Archive intends to create a new library dedicated to amateur radio and the early days of digital communications, for which it has begun to collect donations of materials.

The new Digital Library of Amateur Radio and Communications (DLARC) will function as a digital archive with free access to digitized resources, recordings, web pages and publications, among other materials, dedicated to amateur radio.

Resources on digital communications in the early days of the internetas reported by the Internet Archive on their blog.

To carry out this project, the Internet Archive has requested the donation of all kinds of materials, both in physical and digital format, on the two types of content that the new library will include.

The collections housed in this new space are openly and universally availableand will have a portal to discover content and perform searches for educational purposes.
