Google now lets you share files directly from Meet during a presentation

Google has entered two news in meets to facilitate file sharing between meeting participants directly from this video conferencing service.

The person making a presentation can now give other attendees access to a file directly from Meet, with a new sharing option that Google has implemented in the floating menu.

This file can also be shared with people who are on the calendar invite list, as the technology company has indicated on the Workspace blog. Both attendees and guests will see notification and link with which to access the file.

When it comes to a link shared via chatthe person who shares it will see a new dialog window where they can select who gives access to it and even if they want to attach it to the calendar.

With these new features that allow you to share a file directly from Meet, the user can no longer does not have to switch to another window to give access to the rest. This makes it easy for meeting attendees to follow your presentation, search and reference your material later, and continue working on meeting action items.

Google has started this Wednesday the rapid launch of these two new features gradually, and will be available for users of personal Google accounts, for Workspace customers and for legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers.
