After a Black Friday and a Cyber Monday that were as busy as usual, new dates such as Christmas arrive to recover those electronic devices that have eluded us these days.
Technology has become essential for users’ daily lives, covering needs such as staying connected or making certain processes easier, such as cooking or cleaning the home.
This is why, in addition to smartphones, products such as air fryers or robot vacuum cleaners have continued to be the great attraction for equipping the home. However, mobile phones are still the star product on December 25 and January 6, and this year it is very likely that they will be, specifically foldable ones.
One of them is the Oppo Find N2 Flipwhich has a Hasselblad camera, a hinge resistant to 400,000 folds and FlexForm mode to use the mobile phone hands-free while playing videos on YouTube or video calls, available for 1,049 euros in lavender and black.
Samsung has also renewed its folding catalog this year with Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 (from 1,199 euros and 1,622 euros, respectively), with colors ranging from mint green to yellow and with functions that resemble “a PC in your pocket” in the case of the book type, as explained by the company in its presentation. One of the highlights of this family is its ‘water drop’ fold, which hides the fold of the interior screen.
Motorola razr 40 Ultra It is the proposal of the Chinese firm, which starts at a price of 1,199 euros. With a 6.9-inch pOLED screen, it boasts technologies such as HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos, as well as a complete, gap-free closure when folded.
The proposal of Huawei is Mate X3, a ‘smartphone’ with a price that amounts to 2,199 euros in a single configuration (12GB of RAM + 512GB of storage) and with a somewhat smaller screen than the previous ones, 6.4 inches, OLED technology and the ability to offer 1,070 millions of colors.
Along with foldable devices, this year there has also been a special interest in ‘smartwatches’ and, specifically, in the Google Pixel Watch 2 (399 euros), the second generation of this ‘wearable’ that, unlike the first, this time has arrived in Spain.
With a 100 percent recycled aluminum chassis and a dial diameter of 41 mm, it features an AMOLED screen at 320 dpi and brightness enhancement of up to 1000 nits. Its battery reaches 24 hours of autonomy and charges to 50 percent in just half an hour.
The proposal of HONOR is Watch 4 (149 euros), which extends its autonomy to 14 days and offers a 1.75-inch square AMOLED screen, as well as 4 GB of internal storage. Like Google’s proposal, this model is compatible with any terminal that has Android 9.0 or later versions.
Apple Watch Series 9 (449 euros for the aluminum version, 799 for the stainless steel version) is available in eight colors, two dial sizes (41 and 45 mm) and has a neutral carbon strap. Its retina screen offers a brightness of up to 2,000 nits and is water resistant to a depth of no more than 50 meters.
SOUND AND IMAGE
If you still do not have a vinyl player in your home, one of the great sensations of recent years, the products of Audio Technica. The Japanese firm complies 50 years developing headphones and this year he launched the model ATH-M50xBT2DS (199 euros), with a headband design for noise isolation, dual microphones and beamforming technology.
Also interesting and, above all, lighter, are the wireless headphones Nothing Ear (2), available for 149 euros, which have high-resolution audio certification and LHDC 5.0 technology, which guarantees the transmission of frequencies of up to 24 bits/192 kHz at speeds of up to 1 Mbps.
In the speakers section, Sonos has presented this year one of the most interesting portable speakers, Move 2 (499 euros), which features innovations such as stereo spatial audio, a battery life of up to 24 hours and a water-resistant design.
PartyBox Ultimate (1,499 euros), from JBL, was presented in August as a device designed to offer “the best and most powerful” sound for parties and events, thanks to the fact that it integrates mid-range and high-sensitivity drivers and has tweeters ‘capable of offering dual treble to hear every detail.
Apple’s option is the HomePod 2nd Generation (349 euros), which comes in white and midnight, with 360-degree sound to fill the location in which it is placed with sound. It can also be used with an Apple TV 4K to improve dialogue quality.
In the television section, for the most demanding, the 65-inch LG OLED evo 4K model G3 (2,399 euros) is proposed, which adheres to the wall without leaving a visible gap with its ‘One Wall Design’ architecture. Besides, TCL offers a new model 55 inch QLED (649 euros) with 4K HDR PRO capability from the C74 series, which integrates Full Array Local Dimming technology and 144 Hz Motion Clarity Pro, allowing it to offer fluid, sharp and colorful quality.
To improve the user experience, the brand recommends its new S64 series sound bars with Dolby Audio. For example, S642W (158 euros) offers high-quality 2.1-channel sound with wireless subwoofer and 200W of power.

AIR FRYERS AND VACUUM CLEANERS

Along with air fryers, another of the most requested products at Christmas for the home are robot vacuum cleaners, among which one of the latest additions from Dyson stands out.
Dyson Gen5detect Absolute (899 euros) is a “most powerful” cordless HEPA vacuum cleaner from the brand, because it has a power of 280 watts of air and an autonomy that exceeds one hour. Thanks to its built-in Fluffy Optic brush, with improved lighting, it reveals twice as much microscopic dust. This way the user knows where to clean.
