Xunta contracts with Feijóo’s sister

Eulen is run in the community by Micaela Nunez Feijoo, sister of the leader of the PP. Since Feijóo came to power in Galicia, awards to group companies by foundations, public companies and other instrumental entities dependent on the Galician Administration have multiplied.

And, as this medium revealed, the analysis of the nearly 140 contracting files that the Xunta has signed with the companies of the Eulen Group indicate that they had privileged information in numerous award procedures, which ended up winning against their competitors.

The deep demographic crisis

Feijóo leaves a Galicia in the process of being emptied, especially in the interior areas, including some medium-sized cities and towns. And it is that the region has been subjected to a process of aging and population loss for almost two decades that has accelerated during the last thirteen years of PP governments because its policies to stop this bleeding have been non-existent or inoperative.

Attacks on public education

In addition, the Xunta de Galicia has closed 138 public educational centers since Feijóo came to power. In other words, 11% -more than one in ten- of those who existed in the community when he won the regional elections in April of that year. In his more than twelve years in power, the education budget has been reduced by 113 million euros.

Beyond this, it has eliminated free school books and has limited the use of Galician in them, while expanding subsidies to private schools.

It is the oldest monastery in Galicia and was declared a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 1999.

The highway expansion project is promoted by the Ourense Provincial Council and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

Photos with drug trafficker Marcial Dorado

And, one of the controversies that will never be forgotten, is reflected in a photograph, which shows that he shared a yacht and vacations with the drug trafficker Golden Martial.

Marcial Dorado and Alberto Núñez Feijóo, on the former’s yacht.

Those images, seized by the Civil Guard in a registry in the Dorado mansion, were taken in the mid-1990s, when the Romay ministry contracted the supply of fuel for heating hospitals and ambulances from the Galician Health Service. (Sergas) with the Dorado gas station company, which also supplied diesel to the gliders and trucks with which the narco transported tobacco, hashish and cocaine.

The thing between Dorado and Feijóo -general secretary of that Ministry- was not a punctual relationship resulting from a miscalculation, but an old friendship with a guy that all of Galicia knew related to smuggling and drug trafficking. But he knew how to handle the situation without costing him a single vote. Unlike. The photos were made public in 2013 and three years later Feijóo obtained his third absolute majority with almost 677,000 votes, 23,000 more than he had achieved in the elections prior to the scandal.
