Representatives from ERC, Junts, CUP, Òmnium and ANC gathered this Friday in front of the W hotel in Barcelona, where the 37th Meeting of the Cercle d’Economia is taking place, against espionage with Pegasus software.
The thirty demonstrators have shown banners in English with the slogans ‘Spain spies on us’ and ‘Democracy under surveillance’.
On behalf of the ERC, the president of the parliamentary group and the National Council Josep Maria Jové, the deputy and former councilor Meritxell Serret and the leader of the Barcelona City Council Ernest Maragall attended.
The president of Junts, Jordi Sànchez, the party’s spokesman, Josep Rius, the president of the parliamentary group Albert Batet and the second secretary of the Parliamentary Bureau, Aurora Madaula, the deputy Quim Jubert and the former chief of staff of the former president Quim Torra and current general director of Law, Legal Entities and Mediation, Joan Ramon Casals.
From the CUP, the deputies Carles Riera and Eulàlia Reguant; the president of the PDeCAT David Bonvehí; the president of Òmnium, Xavier Antich and the members of the national secretariat of the ANC Arià Bayé and Sònia Urpí.
