EH Bildu insists that if the current “closed text” of the labor reform is presented, it will vote against it

BILBAO, Jan. 28 (.) –

EH Bildu deputy Oskar Matute has affirmed that if the current “closed text” of the labor reform is presented, he will vote against the validation of the decree. “Voting yes to this labor reform is voting yes to the core of Mariano Rajoy’s 2012 labor reform”, he added.

Representatives of ELA and LAB met this Friday in Bilbao with members of EH Bildu, as part of the round of contacts that the trade union centers are going to maintain with political parties, to ask them for a commitment to fully repeal the labor reforms.

In statements to the media minutes before the meeting, EH Bildu deputy Oskar Matute showed the coalition’s adherence to the call for demonstrations announced for this Sunday in the Basque capitals to “repeal the labor reform”.

As Matute has reiterated, if what is presented to EH Bildu is “a closed text” such as the one known, he will vote against the validation of the decree for not “contemplating all the most damaging aspects of the labor reform.”

“If, in addition to a closed menu, we want to remove the debate from Congress, we will again indicate our refusal. We have defended the support of citizens to defend some positions and we do not accept that there are spaces outside Congress that determine what we can or cannot do. Above all, when entities that do not stand for election, such as the CEOE, participate in these species,” he added.

On the other hand, he stated that if the reform is passed as a bill and “parliamentary groups can do their job”, EH Bildu will keep in mind “that provincial and regional agreements are respected as a reference”, among other issues.

Finally, he stated that “voting yes to this labor reform is voting yes to the core of Mariano Rajoy’s 2012 labor reform”, which made flexibility a “tool at the service of employers”.
