MADRID, May 10. (Portaltic/EP) –
cross callthe French manufacturer of rugged, water-resistant smartphones and tablets, has expanded its range Corespecially designed for professionals, with the phone Core-X5 and the tablet Core-T5.
The new devices presented this Tuesday by Crosscall for its Core line are optimized for the use of business applications in hostile environments and for group communication.
In addition, they support the function Push-To-Talk (PTT)which can replace the walkie-talkie and is especially popular in the industry and security/defense sectors, as reported in a press release sent to Europa Press.
The French manufacturer has expanded this Core range with two new mobile devices that have a five-year warranty. On the one hand, Core-X5 is a ‘smartphone’ optimized for use with full coverage professional mobile radio (PMR)in addition to public 4G networks, including bands 28, 38 and 40. Its 100 dB speaker allows you to communicate in noisy environments.
Core-X5 also integrates four larger, programmable side buttons for easy use even when wearing gloves. As a result, the company has pointed out that the PTT functionality can be used with a single touch in any situation: in the warehouse, in the factory or on the job in the field.
Core-X5 is compatible with most of the PTT applications on the market and has the X-Talk application installed natively. In addition, its 4,940 mAh battery promises a range of 14 hours in PTT and 15 hours in GPS navigation.
It integrates the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which is optimized to consume few resources and supports all mission-critical communication protocols (compatibility with 3GPP Release 12 features). This allows the different actors in the world of rescue and emergencies (ambulances, firefighters, hospitals) to communicate with each other in real time to coordinate their interventions. In addition, the ‘smartphone’ is equipped with a triple tray (2 Nano SIM + 1 MicroSD) to combine professional and personal use.
For greater usability of the Core-X5 in extreme conditions, Crosscall offers accessories adapted to the use of PMR, like the ‘holster’ to carry the ‘smartphone’ on the beltthe X-Chest chest harness and the X-Armband, which allow greater mobility while maintaining responsiveness.
Crosscall claims that the Core-X5 is “fully waterproof” to IP68, remaining hermetic to most liquids and microparticles. Has passed 15 tests of the standard for military use MIL-STD-810H and the screen has a glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3 (IK05) that resists scratches and shocks.
THE CORE-T5 TABLET FOR DEMANDING ENVIRONMENTS
The French manufacturer has accompanied the announcement of the Core-X5 smartphone with a new tablet, Core-T5. IP68 certified, it also meets military standard MIL-STD-810H. It presents the Glove Touch and Wet Touch functions, which means that it can be used with gloves or with wet hands, and the screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 resistant to drops of up to 1.5 meters on concrete.
With its 8-inch format, it integrates a 7,000 mAh battery and, connected via 4G+ and WiFi, the Core-T5 is compatible with business applications. This tablet has been specifically designed for PMR use and is compatible with mission critical protocols built into the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 modem.
The device has a 100dB loudspeaker and two programmable side buttons that can be configured in any PMR application, allowing users to communicate even in the event of network saturation thanks to the network use prioritization mechanisms for critical communication flows.
The Core-T5 tablet is compatible with X-Linktm (magnetic connector) technology, and is complemented by an ecosystem of accessories designed to enhance its usability. This is the case of the X-Strap, a shoulder bag designed for this device that allows the user to continue working while keeping it within arm’s reach. With its rotating handle and the X-Blocker fixing system, it is also intended for intensive use in the field, such as in a warehouse or shop.
The Core-X5 smartphone and the Core-T5 tablet complete the Crosscall range dedicated to professionals, which already includes the Core-M5, released in late 2021.
