CEOE will give Garamendi a senior management contract, with a salary close to 400,000 euros per year

MADRID, 9 Feb. (-) –

The Board of Directors of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) has agreed to review the employment situation of its president, Antonio Garamendi, who is currently listed in the General Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA), to register him in the General Scheme with a senior management contract, as confirmed to Europa Press by employer sources.

The salary for this senior manager contract, according to other business sources consulted, will be around 400,000 euros per year, the same as it was in 2021 plus a 3% salary increase, in line with that applied this year for CEOE workers, they have specified the sources.

The formula of the senior management contract is the one that has been considered most appropriate from the CEOE due to the similarities of Garamendi’s functions with those of a senior manager, although it is not yet a closed issue, as clarified by the employer.

In fact, this possible contract still has to pass several internal filters within the CEOE for its approval. Thus, according to sources from the same to Europa Press, it has to be seen in the Board of Directors and in the Budgetary Control Commission.
