Carolina Marín: “I have no words to describe what I felt on the track”

MADRID, 27 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Spanish player Carolina Marín was “very happy” for her return to the courts this Tuesday at the European Badminton Championship that is being held in Madrid and acknowledged that she did not have “words to describe” her emotions in this return for almost a year later and that it must still go “day by day”.

“The truth is that I’m very happy, I don’t have exactly the words to describe what I’ve felt on the track after almost a year out due to a knee injury. I’m happy to be back and to enjoy myself on the track, and above all I’m happy for victory”, confessed Marín in statements provided by the Spanish Badminton Federation.

The woman from Huelva recognized that in the continental event “each of the rivals” she is going to face will want to “win”, so they must “prepare the matches very well”. “We have to go out with our heads thinking about what we have to do, with the security and determination that characterizes me,” she stressed.

“At the beginning, it took me a bit to adapt to the pavilion and the wheel, which is too fast, but then I was able to impose my game and the result was seen on the track”, he added. “At the moment I don’t have a roof over my head, I have to go day by day, game by game, and enjoying each day. Now I have to rest and prepare well for tomorrow’s game,” he stressed.

Finally, the five-time European champion confessed that she only had “words of thanks for the support and affection of this incredible public.” “I hope we have it every day and that they continue to support all the Spaniards who continue in competition,” she said.
