The independent candidate Andres Caleca This Wednesday the 27th, he offered the creation of a fund that would allow increasing the amount of pensions paid in Venezuela.

In a meeting with the Association of Retirees and Pensioners, the independent candidate said that the task of this sector of the population is to achieve the departure of Nicolás Maduro from Miraflores.

The meeting was attended by Emilio Losada, president of the National Federation of Retirees of Venezuela, Omar Vásquez, its general secretary and the directors Alfredo Hernández and Nilda Clemente, Moraima Pozo, who exchanged points of view on the national situation, where the candidate made them a call to remain in the fight to recover democracy and be ready to return to work to reactivate the country’s economy.

The Movement for Venezuela candidate also pointed out that his government will be transitional and has as its fundamental task the fight against poverty and hunger, for which he will reactivate the economy by promoting private investment and recovering public services from state management.

“Whoever offers to turn Venezuela into a power in the next six years is lying to you,” Caleca warned, according to a press release.

Asked about the possibility of increasing the amount of pensions and retirements paid in the country, Caleca explained that the creation of a fund is being studied from which the payment of a decent pension can be guaranteed to all Venezuelans who are entitled to it. .

Regarding the participation of the National Electoral Council in the primaries, Caleca pointed out the need to wait for the specific proposal made by the electoral body but, in any case, he will support the decision made by the National Primary Commission.

He also said that he does not agree with calling a Constituent Assembly, since he believes that with the current Magna Carta the changes that the country demands can be undertaken. In any case, he pointed out, he will propose two changes: eliminate re-election for any popularly elected position and shield decentralization.
