festive season If you are planning to buy a house then there is good news for you. Modi government is coming up with housing loan subsidy scheme for home buyers. Preparations are on to launch this scheme this month. This scheme can be started any day in the coming day. According to the information received, the government will start a new interest subsidy scheme on home loans for the urban poor and middle class. According to government sources, the modalities of this special scheme are being finalized.

Hardeep Singh Puri gave this important information

Recently Union Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that a new home loan subsidy scheme for home buyers in cities will be finalized and announced in September. Let us tell you that this scheme will be in addition to the existing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban, under which 1.18 crore houses have been sanctioned. Puri said that when PMAY-U was launched, the demand before setting the target of 1 crore houses was assessed by the states and verified by MoHUA. Since then the demand was increased on the request of the states.

Prime Minister Modi had announced from the Red Fort

Speaking from the ramparts of the Red Fort on August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the weaker sections living in cities face a lot of problems. Middle class families are dreaming of buying their own house. We are coming up with a new scheme in the coming years which will benefit those families who live in cities but are living in rented houses, slums, chawls and unauthorized colonies. If they want to build their own houses, we will help them with relief in interest rates and loans from banks, which will help them save lakhs of rupees.

Home buyers and real estate sector will get a boost

Rakesh Yadav, CMD of real estate company Antriksh India told India TV Told that by starting the Home Loan Subsidy Scheme, the sale of houses will increase faster. This will give a boost to the real estate sector. Under PMAY till March 2022, the government had provided benefits of up to Rs 2.67 lakh to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low-Income Group (LIG) and Middle Class (MIG) through interest subsidy of 3-6.5% . Under the previous scheme, to avail interest subsidy, the carpet area was fixed at 30 square meter for EWS and 60 square meter for LIG-II. Additionally, there was a credit linked subsidy at the rate of 6.5% for loans up to Rs 6 lakh. I hope that this time both these limits can be increased. This will benefit lakhs of home buyers.
