Brahim Díaz: “I can’t imagine a World Cup without Spain”

MADRID, Nov 9 (.) –

The player of the Spanish team Brahim Díaz has assured that he “does not imagine” a World Cup in Qatar 2022 without Spain and therefore ensures that it is mandatory to win the “two finals” that they have against Greece and Sweden in this final stretch of the qualifying phase .

“I cannot imagine a World Cup without Spain, which has to be in the World Cup and we have two finals coming. We focus on Thursday, the most important match, and there will be two finals that must be won, we must be at the World Cup”, assured at a press conference.

The Spanish winger, on loan from Real Madrid to AC Milan, added that they should think first about Greece and then about the other “final” against Sweden. “We want to be in the World Cup and there are two finals but the most recent is on Thursday. You have to think about playing well and winning, as Spain has always done with the talent that is in this team,” he wielded.

Asked if he had talked about the duel against Sweden with his teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, back to the national team, he revealed part of the conversation. “We know what ‘Ibra’ is like, he dropped the odd one, but we were talking about what would happen, and that it will be an important game for them and for us,” he added.

On a personal level, the man from Malaga claimed to be recovered after passing the coronavirus. “I’m fine, I’m fine and I’m better and super happy to be here fulfilling a dream with the national team. Super grateful to the coach and the teammates for the welcome,” he thanked.

“It is a dream to be here and the most important thing is not if there are casualties or not, it is to win on Thursday. There is a very united group and I will try to contribute my bit on offense and defense,” he added in this regard.

For now, his good work at Milan – 4 goals and 2 assists in 11 games between Serie A and ‘Champions’ – allows him to be with Spain and he hopes to be in that World Cup in Qatar. “I continue to perform, I am at a good level and I want to continue like this to be here and have this award. Any child dreams of being in the national team and with the call of Luis Enrique it became a reality,” he stressed.

“Right now I am at Milan and the most important thing is what comes with the national team, not my future.
