He criticizes that PP requests an electoral advance and believes that he should apologize for opposing the labor reform and the drop in fuel
MADRID, 5 (EUROPE PRESS)
The Minister of the Presidency, Relations with the Courts and Democratic Memory, Félix Bolaños, has lowered the tension in the clash with the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, on behalf of the department on which the security of the mobile phone of the Chief Executive, Pedro Sánchez, when speaking of “responsibility of the Government as a whole”.
In statements to the media at an act of homage to the Spanish prisoners in the Nazi concentration camps, Bolaños has indicated that he has spoken with Robles and has conveyed his “support, affection and solidarity” and that both are working in the same direction to clarify the facts.
After this Wednesday Robles suggested that the care of the cybersecurity of Sánchez’s mobile phone did not fall on his department and encouraged the press to “devote a minute” to verify who was responsible, Bolaños has tried to calm things down by being asked about it.
“The responsibility lies with the Government as a whole to ensure that democratic institutions function with all guarantees and that Spaniards are clear that fundamental rights, freedoms and the right to privacy and the secrecy of communications are guaranteed in a democracy such as ours”, has transferred the minister.
In addition, he stressed that it is a “very serious” episode of “cyber espionage” on the president and the minister herself and therefore they are going to try to clarify the facts “as soon as possible” and “take measures” so that it does not happen again.
Bolaños has indicated that as a government minister he has an “enormous responsibility”, like his colleagues who are part of the Council of Ministers, and that they are working to make the country better and have “institutions that work” with “guarantees” and thus protect the rule of law.
Along the same lines, he has defended that the Government has acted “with total transparency” telling citizens what has happened and the actions that the Executive is going to take and also “with total force” taking the technical reports of the National Cryptologic Center — that corroborate the cyber attack on Sánchez and Robles– before the courts. “In the same way, other governments would have tried to hide it” trying to “destroy the mobile phones with a hammer,” she snapped.
THE PP SHOULD ASK FORGIVENESS
On the other hand, when asked about the request for early elections by the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, he pointed out that it is “a classic” that when the PP loses the elections, they ask for them to be repeated. “If you ask, ask for forgiveness,” Bolaños has launched, who thinks that Feijóo should apologize for having voted ‘no’ to the labor reform “which is assuming a record in job creation” and “stable contracts”.
In his opinion, the PP must also apologize because “it wanted to raise the liter of gasoline” and the electricity bill “to all Spaniards”, in short, for opposing “against the citizens”, he pointed out.
77 ANNIVERSARY LIBERATION OF MAUTHAUSEN
The minister made these statements before an act of homage to those who suffered reprisals and died in the Nazi concentration camp of Mauthausen for the 77th anniversary of their liberation. Thus, he has indicated that his fight for democratic ideals and values is “more present than ever” with the war in Ukraine at the gates of the European Union.
In this way he has remembered “those Spanish men and women who were brave and fought for democratic values. They are already the history of democracy in Europe and of course in Spain”, he finished.
