MADRID, May 2. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The president of Ciudadanos (Cs), Inés Arrimadas, has referred this Monday through Twitter to the case of the intervention of the mobile phones of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, with the software Pegasus.
“And while, ERC, Bildu, the CUP and Junts have guaranteed their seat in the Official Secrets Commission”, said Arrimadas, thus responding to a comment by the deputy spokesman for Cs in Congress, Edmundo Bal, on Twitter: “That the The Government does not detect software “infections” in a year is implausible. That, suspecting them, it gave credence to the accusations of separatism at the expense of the CNI’s good name, is intolerable. We demand explanations and an apology from our public servants.”
Citizens will present in Congress a battery of questions on the communications security protocols of the members of the Government of Spain.
This was stated this Monday by the deputy spokesman for Cs in Congress, Edmundo Bal, in statements to the media during the celebration of the Day of the Community of Madrid, after learning of the intervention of the mobile phones of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, with the Pegasus software.
After knowing these facts, the spokesman for the orange formation has highlighted that “there is serious negligence, a security hole in communications.”
For this reason, he stressed that this Tuesday they will present a battery of written questions to the Government so that “it tells what those security protocols are like.”
Likewise, Bal has asked for explanations about how it is possible that the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, “has said that they have only scanned the security of two mobile phones and not of the rest of the members of the Executive, such as the Minister of the Interior”, Fernando GrandeMarlaska.
